Thomas Nahachewsky

Thomas Nahachewsky is one of the most uniquely qualified professionals in Canada, licensed as both a Registered Architect and a Professional Engineer (Permission to Consult in Structural Engineering and Project Management). He has been licensed as an architect and/or a professional engineer in British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Ontario.

 

He is a LEED registered professional and has augmented his interests in sustainability with the successful completion of various international training programs. In a professional career of approximately 40 years, Thomas has provided project coordination, architectural and structural design functions, and contract administration services on more than two thousand projects.

 

His participation in Concept Plus projects provides the team unparalleled efficiencies, as both architectural and structural interests are available at all meetings, site visits and in written communications. He is comfortable providing a broad range of services: facility programming, building assessments, code reviews, preliminary and detailed design, tender, contract administration and warranty.

Olena Pavlyuk

Principal Architect, AAA, AIBC, MAA, SAA
Founder, Vice President & Director

Olena Pavlyuk is a Registered Architect Licensed for the professional practice of architecture in Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and Manitoba. She was born and raised in Ukraine, where she completed her architectural education and began her professional career. Since immigrating to Canada in 2007, Olena secured a position at an architectural and engineering consultant company where she started to explore the specifics of Canadian professional architectural practice. In 2012, she became the first architect in Canada registered through the Broadly Experienced Foreign Architect (BEFA) Program at the national level.

 

Olena is a highly qualified architectural programmer, designer, and project architect with diverse international and Canadian
experience. Her goal is to optimize design to achieve economic feasibility, environmental accountability, and social responsibility.

 

Olena advocates the use of Integrated Design Process principles and sustainable design practices to conceptualize and direct creative solutions that align with a clearly stated design intent. She is a proponent of applying design excellence and best practices in every project. She shows her interest in the issues of natural resource preservation in the building, construction, and operation industry, and the complexities inherent in the application of green building practices.

Glen Hertzke

Senior Architectural & Structural Technologist
Founding Member, Director

Glen Hertzke is a self-motivated senior architectural and engineering technologist with over 25 years of experience in project management, preparation and checking of Architectural and Structural drawings, contract administration, specification writing, site inspections, structural detailing for various commercial, residential and industrial buildings, and steel structures.

 

Glen received his diploma in Architectural Engineering Technology from Palliser Campus in Moose Jaw, SK, and has been involved many projects from residential single and multi-family dwellings, structural foundations and pre-engineered buildings, to
commercial office buildings, healthcare stations, natural gas regulator stations, multi-storey office buildings, food processing centres, and industrial structures.

 

His project management strategy is to put the client first. This is done by working closely with each client and contractor to make sure the client is getting the full value out of each contract. By applying his knowledge gained from personal experience he is able to anticipate problems and react in order to prevent potential project delays.

Dalyce Taggart

Senior Architectural & Structural Technologist, A.Sc.T.
Founding Member

Dalyce Taggart is a seasoned Senior Architectural and Structural Technologist with over twenty years of experience. Dalyce brings a strong work ethic to each project and is an integral member of the Concept Plus team. Dalyce is registered as an Applied Science Technologist (A.Sc.T.) in Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS) and has been involved in a significant number of projects throughout her career. Her projects have varied in scope from industrial facilities, multi-phase expansions, schools, restaurants, single and multi-family residential.

 

Dalyce’s experience includes her involvement in multiple renovation projects and new construction. She brings relevant design and contract administration experience to Concept Plus. Dalyce applies a solid understanding of building technology and construction to every task.

Jacquelyn Skeffington

Senior Architectural Technologist
Founding Member

Jacquelyn Skeffington is a self-motivated Senior Architectural Technologist with nearly 40 years of experience in project management; architectural design and planning; building code analysis; preparation and checking of architectural drawings; site planning; performing contract administration; specification writing; conducting site inspections; and detailing for various institutional, commercial, multi-family residential, heritage and industrial buildings.

 

She has undertaken various roles in a very broad range of project types and scales for more than 2000 projects. Strong research and communication skills and highly ordered workflows aid in an efficient design through construction process.

Emma Knoll

Architectural Technologist

Emma Knoll is a dynamic and dedicated Architectural Technologist currently employed at Concept Plus in Saskatoon. Having completed her education at Saskatchewan Polytech in Moose Jaw, Emma developed a comprehensive understanding of architectural principles, construction techniques, and building codes.

 

Since joining Concept Plus, Emma has played a pivotal role in the realization of various architectural projects, contributing her expertise in drafting, and building modeling (BIM). Emma's approach to Architectural Technology is characterized by meticulous attention to detail and a proactive problem-solving mindset. Whether she's collaborating with architects, engineers, or construction professionals, she consistently seeks to optimize project outcomes while adhering to budgetary and timeline constraints.

 

Outside of her professional endeavors, Emma remains actively engaged in the architectural community, engaging in side projects and opportunities. Her commitment to continuous learning and professional development underscores her dedication to excellence in the field of architectural technology.

Michael Larson

Mechanical Engineer, M.Sc., P.Eng.
APEGA, APEGM, APEGS, LEED AP

Michael Larson is a Mechanical Engineer with over fifteen years of experience in mechanical design and project management. His experience is predominantly in the thermal fluids area with a focus on heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC).

 

His technical and design experience includes: heat and moisture exchangers, make-up air systems, industrial air distribution and exhaust systems, commercial HVAC systems, steam systems, fume and dust collection systems, plumbing systems, heat transfer, energy modeling, and cost analysis for the implementation of energy recovery devices. He has experience with field inspections, upgrades within existing facilities, and commissioning and balancing of air systems.

 

He is LEED Accredited Professional and strives to implement sustainability and energy conservation into all projects. His Master’s Degree was in the area of heat and moisture transfer. His research involved material testing and prototype construction of an air-to-air heat and moisture exchange system which is currently under development for the commercial HVAC market.

Justin German

Electrical Engineer, P.Eng. B.Eng APEGS, APEGA, APEGM, PEO.

Justin German is an Electrical Engineer who has completed numerous successful electrical projects of various sizes and complexity. He received his Bachelor of Engineering degree with distinction from Carleton University in Ottawa, and his many years of experience in the electrical and technology fields combine innovation, field experience, and project success. Justin’s early career in the software development industry has allowed him to leverage modern design software into his practice providing greater efficiency and accuracy.
 

Justin is also an experienced instrumentation technician and has coordinated, installed, and commissioned communication, instrumentation, and automation systems across North America. This field experience is indispensable to his career as an electrical engineer, particularly in his ability to foresee construction issues and physical constraints, understand the value of excellent documentation, and clearly communicate with contractors and technicians.

Bruce Revitt

Senior Architectural & Structural Engineering Technologist

Bruce Revitt is a self-motivated senior architectural and structural engineering technologist with more than 40 years of experience in the industrial, institutional, and commercial sectors. He offers diverse experience in structural and architectural design, project management and coordination for various applications.

 

His exposure to a wide variety of projects and construction types as well as a solid understanding of both architectural and structural design makes him a valuable member of the CONCEPT PLUS team.

Teklay Berhane

Structural Designer, BSc. Civil Eng, MSc. Civil/Structural, EIT

Teklay Berhane is a Structural Engineer-in-Training, member with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.

 

His international and Canadian experience encompasses a wide range of sectors, including commercial, industrial, institutional, and residential projects of varying sizes and complexity focusing on design, construction, plan review and maintenance of steel, wood, concrete and masonry structures.

 

Teklay’s graduate studies focused on six story reinforced concrete building. His research involved modeling the structural systems using a 3-D commercial software package and made comparison of the results from finite element analysis to the experimental results.

Maret Johnson

Architectural Technologist, RAIC Syllabus

Maret Johnson received her Diploma in Architectural and Building Technologies from SIAST Palliser Campus in 2007, enrolling in the RAIC Syllabus Program in 2008, with the long term goal of becoming a Registered Architect. Working in parallel with her studies has provided Maret with both practical experience and time-management and organizational skills, making her a great addition to any team.

 

Maret is a skilled Technologist with experience working on new buildings as well as complex additions and renovations. Her wideranging project experience includes large institutional projects, educational, ecclesiastical, multi-family residential, commercial, tenant improvements, and numerous roof replacements and modernizations.

 

Proficient in many software platforms including AutoCAD, Revit and Microsoft Office, she also has experience using Adobe products, Bluebeam, Lumion and various other programs.

 

Maret is an advocate of the integrated design processes to create sustainable, innovative solutions to any problem or challenge.

 

Maret enjoys working with clients, consultants and contractors from the early stages of a project through to completion, paying attention to details and taking satisfaction when the client’s needs are met.

Ahmed ElDessouki

Designer, MSc, PhD

Ahmed ElDessouki is an architectural designer. Ahmed’s professional experience is in the realm of pre-design research, design development, schematic drawings, and construction documents, with projects that range from private residential buildings to other public building types in Egypt, the Middle East, and now in Canada.
 

Ahmed’s academic experience as a lecturer and a researcher at Cairo University contributed to shaping his approach to architecture, where space and form design corresponds to the understanding of the client’s behavioral, psychological, and aesthetic needs and aspirations, and the integration of the emerging building’s experience with its surrounding urban, social, and natural contexts.

Naitik Gajjar

Intern Architect, LEED GA

Naitik Gajjar is currently registered as an Intern Architect with the Saskatchewan Association of Architects and holds the LEED Green Associate certification, demonstrating his commitment to integrating sustainability practices into projects.

 

He has obtained his bachelor's degree in architecture and a diploma in civil engineering in India. With over six years of international experience and more than four years in Canada, he has been involved in a wide array of projects across sectors like residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional. He contributed to projects of varying complexities in residential, commercial, institutional, and industrial domains.

 

He possesses expertise in utilizing software platforms like Revit, AutoCAD, MS Office, Adobe applications, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and various other programs.

 

He takes pleasure in collaborating with clients, consultants, and contractors from projects conceptual stage to its completion, emphasizing attention to detail and finding fulfillment in meeting the clients' requirements.
